I am an artist with the audacity to let my inner child come out to play.  I follow no rules, I make messes and create my inner most thoughts into pictures, poems, stories, and a mix of colors.  I write, paint and draw with the intent to inspire others to do the same.

Q & A
About CarrieAnne
Why did you choose to self-publish?
That's a good question.  I chose to self-publish because it gave me more creative control over my book.  It is not the easiest path to take and it took a lot of hard work and constant learning through trial and error, but I love how it all worked out.
Did you go to school to become an illustrator?
I actually went to school for Zoology, Psychology and Early Childhood    Education.  I have only had a few art classes in recent years.
What inspired you to write books?
My daughters.  Both of them love to read and enjoy creating art.  I once made     a potty book to help my youngest potty train.
How long have you been writing or when did you start?
I have always kept a journal, since I was about 10.  I would write in it whenever     I was sad, mad or excited about something.  I started writing poetry and     creative writing about 8 years ago.
What was your favorite childhood book?
As a young child, my favorite book was Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss
Did you love reading as a child?
Actually, I didn't.  I had a hard time learning to read.  I had and still have a     problems sounding words out.  However, I did eventually fall in love with     reading in 7th grade, when I pick up a book out of boredom and started to     read.  I haven't stopped reading since.
How long did this book take you to create?
This book took about 5 years, from idea to publishing.
What do you like to do when you are not writing or creating art?
I like to watch movies with my family and hand out with my dogs.  I also like to    sew and spend time outside.
How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?
I have about nine unfinished books.
What part of the book did you have the hardest time writing?
I think the hardest part about creating any book is being satisfied with end     result and letting it go, knowing there will always be something you could have     done better.
